The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact SUV that has been in production since 2004. The first-generation Equinox was based on the GM Theta platform, and the second-generation model was based on the GM Delta II platform. The third-generation Equinox is based on the GM D2XX platform.
The Equinox is currently in its fourth generation, and for the 2024 model year, Chevrolet will be offering an all-electric version of the SUV.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV review
Despite the Equinox nameplate, the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV has little else in common with that compact SUV. On top of that, its powertrain swaps gasoline power for electronic power. Equinox EV's exterior styling blends futuristic styling with a more traditional crossover design tips that look cool.
Chevrolet hasn't released many details about the new SUV, but we expect nearly 300 miles per charge. Unlike the smaller Bolt EUV we expect the Equinox EV to offer all-wheel drive which could mean dual motors and Slightly more power than the 200-horsepower Bolt.
What's New for 2024?
The Equinox EV will be an all-new all-electric model when it joins the Chevrolet lineup in the fall of 2023 as a 2024 model.
Only LT and RS trim levels have been announced so far, but Chevrolet could expand the lineup with a base LS or top-of-the-line Premier trim when the Equinox EV's on-sale date is closer.
Pricing isn't official, but we've been told to expect prices to start around $30,000.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Few details about the Equinox EV's interior have been shared, but from the photos, we can see a digital instrument panel similar to the recently revealed Silverado EV and styling themes reflecting the Bolt EV hatchback and Bolt EUV crossover.
Front passenger space looks similar to current Equinox, but we'll have to wait for more details and test drives to know for sure.

In the video of the compact 2024 Equinox, you can finally see the curves and some elements. The E in Equinox is just three bars. It is curved. It has all the necessary EV elements, like a sleek grille and ultra-compact projector headlamps.
The charging port can be clearly seen in front of the driver's door. It has two-tone paint and a white roof that visually lowers it.
The rear C-pillars are shark-shaped fins that echo the sport bars on the new electric Silverado truck. In the video, at least we see the taillights come on in a horizontal stream and possibly a sequential turn signal like the Ford Mustang.

In the middle of the front grille you can see what looks like a camera which hints at some driver safety aids like the adaptive cruise control the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox might have. There are also two pods that can hint at radar cruising or be part of a 360-degree camera system.
You can also The dent for the parking sensors on the bumper and the subtle turn signals on the mirrors. The door handles are flush like a Tesla.
Looking through the driver's side window, the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox appears to have a tall infotainment screen erected in the middle of the dash.
What we know about the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV
Expected to cost around $30,000 the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox goes head-to-head with the new Toyota bZ4X. The new SUV is expected to run on Ultium platforms like the Cadillac Lyric and GMC Hummer EV Truck.
We don't expect the compact Equinox to have 1,000 horsepower like the Hummer, but it Probably needs at least 250 to compete with the Mustang Mach-E which has 266.
The new Equinox is expected to be available in LT and LS trims in fall 2023. The current Chevrolet Equinox offers a street-racing-inspired RS package, and we certainly hope Chevrolet's tuners try this on the EV version as well.
Some dealers have also started taking pre-orders for the new Equinox.

The 2022 Chevrolet is almost identical to the GMC Terrain. Both crossovers have a five-seater and are powered by GM's 170-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. Both can be ordered as front-wheel-drive crossovers or all-wheel drive.
They all come with a 7-inch touchscreen with Amazon Alexa. You can order a Wi-Fi hotspot rearview camera as well as distance indicator collision alert automatic emergency braking after lane keep assist and more.
Maximum cargo room with the Equinox rear seats folded is 63.9 cubic feet. Terrain is more off-road Focused on and available in AT4 packs, the Equinox is more street-friendly and can be ordered with the RS pack.
