The 2023 Kia Seltos is a subcompact SUV that has been completely redesigned. It's no longer, wider, and taller than the previous model, and it has a new platform that allows for a more spacious interior.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Kia offers two different four-cylinder engines in the Seltos: a 2.0-liter that makes 146 horsepower and a turbocharged 1.6-liter that makes 175 horsepower.
We were able to sample the Seltos with the 1.6-liter turbo engine and found that its power was more than adequate. Our test car broke fast 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. While the base engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) the turbo is paired with a seven-speed automatic.
All-wheel drive is standard on all models except the S trim. The Seltos offers a firm but mostly smooth ride and handling, is a very good SUV - It's more entertaining and seductive than rivals like the Jeep Compass and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

Compared to the Kona the Seltos offers significantly more space inside for people and cargo. Materials used throughout the cabin are carefully selected and refined enough to look right in a showroom next to the brand's excellent Telluride SUV.
