Our friends at Kolesa.ru have taken a render of the next-gen Range Rover Sport based on recent spy shots. The result is an evolutionary redesign rather than a revolutionary SUV. For this digital redesign, the SUV has slimmer headlights and grille and simplified LEDs sign. Instead of being isolated in three places, the bumper air intakes span the width of the vehicle.
On the sides the roof slopes back slightly like the outgoing model. The traditional clamshell hood is still there, and the renders even include Velar-style pop-up door handles. Kolesa.ru even added redesigned wheels based on spy photos. As for the rear, the website estimates Future Range Rover Sport will have a tall strip on the tailgate to accommodate lights and trim. The bumper-mounted license plate holder seen in the test car is also featured in the rendering.
But what do we know about the SUV of the future so far? The 2023 Range Rover Sport will use an improved MLA-Flex platform that will underpin the full-size version. Engine options are likely to be similar to its big brother, meaning a range of mild-hybrid six-cylinder gas and turbo diesel engines.
