The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a compact SUV that was first introduced in 2023. It’s available in two different trim levels: the SE and the Limited. The Ioniq 5 comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.

EV Motor, Power, and Performance

The Ioniq 5 features a pure electric powertrain that offers a variety of features. A standard-range battery paired with a single rear-mounted electric motor produces 168 horsepower. Using a long-range battery, the rear-drive configuration produces 225 hp and 258 lb-ft, Hyundai says it will push the Ioniq 5 to 60 mph of torque in 7.4 seconds.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life

Using a standard 58.0-kWh battery pack, the Ioniq 5 is estimated to offer an estimated 220 miles of range.

The larger 77.4-kWh battery pack is rated for 266 miles of dual-motor range and 303 miles of single-motor range.

While not as artsy as the Hyundai 45 Concept, the Ioniq 5's interior boasts a tech-savvy space with a digital instrument panel and plenty of eco-friendly materials. An augmented reality head-up display that can project navigation directions on the windshield is just one of them peculiar feature.
